Yoga Design Lab is committed to sharing the many benefits of yoga with everyone, especially those with the least access... children. "If every 8-year-old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation." YDL believes the Dalai Lama's words to be true and has assisted numerous programs over the years. A few of our partners would like to be shared so maybe you too will be inspired.

The Earthchild Project offers free weekly yoga classes to 3500 children in the under-resourced townships of Lavender Hill and Khayelitsha, South Africa. Through more than ten years of dedication, this small not-for-profit has holistically integrated yoga into eight school's curriculums. Demonstrating their sustainability and lasting effects, some of the current yoga teachers are recent graduates of the program that are now passing their knowledge along to younger generations.

Earthchild hopes to reach 5000 children in 2019, and Yoga Design Lab is supporting this goal by sponsoring 500 children!!

"It has been a life changing experience teaching yoga with Earthchild and witnessing the incredible results of creating a space for children to practice true yoga. Not only do they have an asana practice, helping the kids release some energy so they can focus on their studies, but they are taught about positive thinking, kindness, healthy living, and gratitude". - Michelle Hurley, YDL Operations Director
